What to Expect at Fairlight Programs

All of our programs take place 100% outside! Please help your camper be prepared so they can have fun in all weather!

  • Comfortable clothes that can get very dirty (Camouflage or natural colours are best)

What to Expect at Day Camp

Pick up and Drop Off:

Pick up and drop off occurs in front of the barn at Fairlight Farm. Please park in the parking lot at the base of the driveway and walk up to pick up and drop off your child. Please arrive between 8:50-9 for drop off.

If for some reason you will be late for drop off or pick up, PLEASE send a text message to (506) 425.7225. Please note that after camp care must be arranged prior to camp.

Daily Rhythm:

While each day is different in our camps, campers can expect key elements each day. We will always have an opening and closing circle, do farm chores first thing in the morning, have a mid-morning snack, and lunch around noon, play games, and do a craft or project each day.

Enki Education, Coyote Mentoring, and Nature Connection

Our educational approach draws on many sources, the key among them being Enki Education (enkieducation.org) and Coyote Mentoring/8 shields model (The Coyote’s Guide to Connecting with Nature). Enki education focuses on the arts and recognizing and nourishing the inherent vitality in every child. Coyote Mentoring aims to help children develop their own deep relationship with the natural world through awareness, games, and core routines. These two models work beautifully hand in hand because they both support children to make their own discoveries and find their own wisdom and passion- an inside-out approach rather than outside-in.
